BFG EX-1200 Modular PSU
BFG Technologies have announced and launched their new EX-1200 Modular Power Supply Unit (PSU). This 1.2kW unit is 80 Plus® certified and supports NVIDIA® 3-Way SLI. It is at least 80% efficient with loads as low as 10% of its maximum capacity.
The BFG EX-1200 is of modular design and is rated at 1200W continuous at 40°C (140°F) and features 98A on the +12V rail. This is a great choice for any high-end system running multiple video cards.
The Senior Director of Marketing at BFG Technologies, John Malley, had this to say:
“Most high wattage power supplies are extremely inefficient when idle or running day-to-day office tasks. Our exclusive Frequency Conversion Technology enables the EX-1200 to maintain at least 80% efficiency even when not being tasked with power intensive 3D games, and when the system is idle it uses approximately one fourth of the power that it would during gaming. That means real energy savings for the customer and a greener environment for everyone.”
The BFG EX-1200 will be available at Newegg.com starting this week. In fact, it is already listed there with a $249.99 price tag.
