The final analysis is an overall percentage of how much faster on the same architecture, is the new 45nm process versus the older 65nm process, at the same clock speed.

If the value is red, the E6300 wins. If the value is green, the E7200 wins. Here are the final results…

I’m not sure there is any more left for me to say. I think the figures speak for themselves. However, if I have to, I can conclude that clock-for-clock, the 45nm Core 2 Duos are on average 3% faster than the 65nm parts.

I will also say that the Core 2 Duo E7200 is undoubtedly a great processor. I don’t think the persons that purchase this CPU will regret it and they should be happy with the performance they get. I fully recommend the E7200. It truly is an awesome processor.
