Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod
Just Cause 2 has sold millions of copies since its release in March 2010. However since its release, an official multiplayer mode was never supported, something the community has always wanted. In 2010, just after the release of Just Cause 2 an idea for a Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod was created. However due to technical issues, the mod was cancelled.
In July of 2012, the team got back together to launch a public beta. Receiving great praise, the mod has had tens of thousands of people playing during one of the beta tests, that normally last 48 hours. The events during a test become quite chaotic with races and demolition derbies.

This past weekend was one of those tests. Although the test had been canceled due to a DDoS attack, the team was able to rent a server with basic DDos mitigation, allowing the test to continue to the end. The development team hopes to have another test this coming weekend, but nothing has been confirmed.
To stay up to date with the current beta schedule, check their website for the most current information. The team expects to have the mod complete for clients and servers before the end of 2013.
The video below gives a little overview on the awesomeness that is Just Cause 2 Multiplayer.
