PC Call of Duty: Ghosts Patched, Drops 6GB of RAM Requirement
Infinity Ward has announced that a patch for the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is now available.
Call of Duty: Ghosts requirements were high, previously a user needed 6GB of system RAM to run the game. Now, a 400MB patch has dropped that requirement to 4GB of RAM.
Full patch notes have not been released by Infinity Ward yet.
According to Eur0Gamer the patch, “combats menu stutter and adds eSports rules alongside Broadcaster Mode.”
Until the patch notes are released, we are not sure if anything else has changed but here is the updated list from the official requirements:
Minimum System Requirements
-OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
-CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
-RAM: 4 GB RAM
-HDD: 40 GB HD space
-Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
-Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card
-Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.
A patch for the console versions of the game is also expected soon.
