Resident Evil 6 Benchmark – Frame Time measurement – GTX 680 vs. Titan vs. HD 7970 GHz ed.
Conclusion
This was just a quick look at the Resident Evil 6 benchmark by using an alternate and better way to benchmark PC games for smoothness than by just using the fps average. We look forward to the game’s release next month and adding it to our regular benching suite as a eventual replacement for Resident Evil 5.
From just looking at this benchmark, we see that the HD 7970 at GHz edition clocks has slightly more difficulty providing even frame rates once the resolution goes way up. The GTX 680 does a slightly better job of delivering a smoother experience in our benchmarks despite the HD 7970 generally having similar average fps (framerates). Of course, this game has not been released yet and there is plenty of time for more optimized drivers as there are large spikes apparent in all of the charts.
We are certainly not finished with our frame time measurements. And of course now we have a new Titan. Stay tuned, there is a lot more coming from us as we continue comparing our HD 7970 at GHz edition clocks to the stock GTX 680 and the GeForce Titan with the rest of our 30-game benchmark suite. Afterward, we shall present side-by-side video – including slow motion – for your examination. There is a new evaluation of the Cooler Master Seidon 240M CPU watercooler due tomorrow. Did we make 5.0GHz by using 4x120mm fans in push-pull?
—- stay tuned!
Happy Gaming

but it is clear that AMD is doing something right. The 7970 ghz is not doing bad at all in this benchmark. Its not much different than the 680. Its actually very good i would say.
this is a nvidia created benchmark tool sent for to bench res evil 6….it’s expected 680 will be faster by whatever means possible…
The HD 7970 GHz edition does pretty well, doesn’t it?
