The battle of the HTPC cards, Galaxy’s GT 520 vs. HD 6450 (GDDR5 vs. GDDR3)
Crysis Warhead
Crysis Warhead is a science fiction first-person shooter developed by the Hungarian studio Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. Crysis Warhead is a stand-alone expansion to Crysis that was released in 2008. It is optimized better than the original Crysis to look as good with less hardware resources required to render it.
We test first at 1680×1050 with 2xAA at maxed-out Enthusiast (Very High) settings.
Even the overclocked GT 530 falls short of the HD 6450-GDDR5 version although the GT 520 is solidly faster than the HIS HD 6450 We would not use DX10 at all for playing this game but would instead use DX9 settings for our target cards. It is playable on (much) lower DX1o settings, however.
