The battle of the HTPC cards, Galaxy’s GT 520 vs. HD 6450 (GDDR5 vs. GDDR3)
Wolfenstein
Wolfenstein is a science fiction first-person shooter video game mostly co-developed by Raven and id Software and published by Activision. It is the sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and uses the id Tech 4 engine. The game was released in 2009. Our timedemo benchmark was created by ABT’s own Senior Editor, BFG10K. First we test at 1680×1050 with completely maxed out in-game settings.
This resolution is too demanding for our cards. Now we test at 1280×720 with low settings and no AA.
The Wolfenstein game is too demanding for our new cards. In the summary however, you will see the GDDR5 version of the HD 6450 take first place strongly ahead of the overclocked Galaxy GT 520.
