The iTwin makes secure transfer of data practical
Conclusion
ITwin is a great solution for on-the-go users who use multiple computers and need secure access to large files. Consumers can use it to safely access sensitive information from just about anywhere using public Wi-Fi connections.
iTwin is great for people who want to share music, photos or videos; students who want to transfer big files between school and home, and endless possibilities for business. Small business owners won’t have to invest in a VPN and the IT people to support it. And we have seen that cloud storage is far less than ideal. Best of all, iTwin installation and use is generally simple and easy to use. It also comes with great support should you have some rare issues as we did with our proxy settings.
Pros:
- iTwin offers “both ends of a cable” service with no cable, and secure 256-bit encrypted connections on both ends.
- A great solution for on the go users using multiple PCs and transferring large files
- No need for cloud-storage monthly fees or security concerns; pay once.
- Great security. Besides boasting 256-bit hardware encryption, you can remotely disable iTwin with a code.
- Plug and play in most cases and great support if you have issues
- The LEDs indicate activity and are a nice touch.
Cons
- It’s small and can be easily lost. Fortunately, unlike with a flash drive, you can disable it remotely.
- You must leave your desktop always on.
We like our iTwin and although it is not cheap at $99, it is a reasonably priced practical and secure solution that can save users from expensive security breeches and much grief. We recommend it for users who need to remotely and securely access and transfer large amounts of data and it is an inexpensive alternative to setting up a VPN. We give the iTwin our Recommended award.
