Microsoft announced today that the Xbox One will be launching in 13 markets on November 22, 2013. The reasoning behind choosing the date is that the Xbox 360 also launched on November 22nd in 2005. The Xbox One will initially be available in\u00a0Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, and the USA, with more markets following in 2014.<\/p>\n

According to Microsoft, the clock speed of the Xbox One is now 1.75GHz instead of 1.6GHz. A 9.4% increase on top of the 6% increase that was made for the GPU.<\/p>\n

Dead Rising 3<\/em>, \u00a0Ryse: Son of Rome,<\/em> and Forza Motorsport 5,\u00a0<\/em>are all launching November 22nd as well. To make the transition easier, select titles can be upgraded from Xbox 360 to Xbox One for only $9.99 and Microsoft has added a select few more “Day One Editions” for the Xbox One allowing those who missed the chance to pre-order it, to do so now.<\/p>\n

Microsoft seems very proud of this new product and with the recent changes to policy<\/a>, the Xbox One seems promising. When I tried the new controller this weekend at PAX Prime, I found it very uncomfortable and unfamiliar which made it harder to use. In contrast, the new PS4 controller felt familiar and solid. The Xbox One controller would take time for me to get used too.<\/p>\n
