The follow-up to the Shield portable gaming system could possibly be released next year with a next-gen Tegra Chip, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/24\/kepler-to-mobile\/\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/24\/kepler-to-mobile\/', 'Project Logan']);\" >Project Logan<\/a> (Kepler on mobile).<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia wants to work with Android closely to make it a more viable gaming platform. Jen-Hsun said this in an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2013\/10\/21\/nvidia-ceo-jen-hsun-huang-interview-october-2013\/\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2013\/10\/21\/nvidia-ceo-jen-hsun-huang-interview-october-2013\/', 'interview with Engadget']);\" >interview with Engadget<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Android is such an important platform&#8230; because we want to do for Android what GeForce did for PC&#8217;s. \u00a0What GeForce did to PC&#8217;s is it took an open-platform Personal computing device and turned it into a gaming platform.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It looks like Nvidia may have a huge year in 2014 and that may include updating Shield rather quickly.
