I can't see myself ever banking a million bucks. Good for you if you were able to do it.
I'm not going to go into my specific finances online, but the odds are pretty good our investments will be worth at least a million when we retire.
We don't have pensions, but we'll be at the upper end of social security payouts. (as close to socialism as we get, they tax the working 7% and then give you up to $2700/month when you retire)
It ain't all about retirement, pal. By the time you're 70, your mind is too dull to enjoy the nice things on Earth. Gotcha!!! Spank me if you need to!
My Dad went on to make $600,000 after taxes in 2007 with his engineering business, right before the economic recession, and then sold off his business recently. And he still doesn't feel like a millionaire.. $5 million is rich, not $1 million.
