Giuliani is campaigning for trump. His speeches are at trump events. This is also why this article is exist, the reason you are even hearing of it.
Every trump rally, every trump word..there are countless people scouring thru looking for any and every phrase for an opportunity to run another headline. They pull any sound bite they can, usually out of context. Sometimes they dont even use the entire sentence, in these efforts to manipulate and create sensational anti trump stories to further their agenda. Giuliani is one of the few widely respected people trump has and many would be pleased to see him chopped down as well.
This article exist for the same reason as so many others these days. And if you watch some of these comments made into controversy, they only play tiny clips and it out to be something way different. I dont think Giuliani was meaning what the article tried to make it out as. He was speaking at a live event and was really onto it. He was surely meaning after 9/11, the policies put in place kept us safe and the new administrations approach has been and is dangerous.
