As we get closer to the launch of Xbox One, Microsoft is releasing more information about their console.
Today, Major Nelson and Xbox have uploaded a full unboxing video of a Day One Edition Xbox One Console. There are a couple of interesting things that we get to see in the video:
– The Xbox One comes with a 4K rated HDMI cable
– It features a full speed USB 3.0 Super Speed port on the left side on the console
– Ports on the back of the console includes: HDMI in/out, S/PDIF port, 2 USB ports that are most likely USB 3.0 Super Speed ports, a special Kinect port, IR out port, Gigabit Ethernet port, and a Kensington Security lock.
Inside the Xbox is a 8-core X86 processor, a 500 GB hard drive, a slot-loading Blu-Ray Drive, Wireless internet capabilities, and more.
The new Xbox One controller has over 40 improvements over the Xbox 360 controller, and the Day One edition includes a special edition chrome D-Pad and a special Day One logo.
Major Nelson also shows off the new Kinect sensor which has improved gesture and voice control, an increased field of view so it can work in almost any room, and shoots in 1080p.
As we already know, the Xbox One console also includes an improved headset.
The best part of the video is at the end when Major Nelson shows off the console’s new power button – an Xbox logo that lights up when pressed.
