Dave, i can tell you how, it is not a mystery.
When i go to the ABT, i went straight to the forum. I wold only go to the main page if there was a new article or something posted in the forum pointed me in that direction. So i was going to ABT forum first.
This is the URL that i used to go to the forum back in the old days.
ABT forum-Index Page: alienbabeltech.com
/abt/
Today it doesnt exist. So it redirects to
http://alienbabeltech.com/main/
BUT
it takes the "/abt/" from the original URL and does a search through articles which results in the 2009 "name the mascot" display on the screen.
so type anything after ".com/" and if it isnt there it will search for something with the letters.
example:
alienbabeltech.com/Ha/
takes you
http://alienbabeltech.com/main/haf-922-review/
So it is not a mystery. It is just not a proper redirect. alienbabeltech.com/
abt/ doesnt exist. Anyone using that old URL will end up at alienbabeltech.com/main/ + a search of the articles for the letters "abt"
which results in
http://alienbabeltech.com/main/abt-announces-our-first-name-our-mascot-contest-win-great-hw-prizes/
So another example...............
alienbabeltech.com/play/ will take you here
http://alienbabeltech.com/main/play-left...a-glasses/
If it wasnt already clear enough.
Anyway, I just thought it would be nice if the old URL for ABT forum index page worked. But the longer and longer it has been, the less it even matters.
