Nvidia’s GTX 760 arrives to take direct aim at the HD 7950

A look at the GTX 770

Nvidia has redesigned their GEFORCE logo in all caps in this professionally rendered image beginning with the GTX 690. You can see the 6+8 pin PCIe power connectors used for the GTX 770.

We can also see that there are two dual link DVI ports, a HDMI 1.4a port. and a DisplayPort in the closeup below. To run 3 panel Surround off of a single GTX 770, we used two DVI connectors and a passive DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

SLI and Tri-SLI

The GTX 760 is set up for SLI and Tri-SLI. We hope to cover SLI performance of the GTX 770 in an upcoming article. You can see the SLI connectors on the obverse shot of the card.

The specifications look extraordinary with incremental but solid improvements over the GTX 660 Ti. Let’s check out performance after we look at our test configuration on the next page.
