ATI Radeon HD 5830 Officially Launched
As of right now, the latest addition to AMD’s video card line-up, the ATI Radeon HD 5830 has officially been launched. It is the newest member of the DX11 family and stands as the entry card for the 5800 series of high-performance cards. AMD has made us aware that the Suggested E-tail Price (SEP) of the HD 5830 is US $239.
The HD 5830 is a card that performs at a level between that of the HD 5770 and the HD 5850. The specifications this time around do tell the whole story; a very competitive offering from the Red Team. With a core clock speed of 800MHz and GDDR5 at 1000MHz (4000MHz effective), the HD 5830 is sure to please with a compute power of 1.79 TeraFLOPs. It does this with a maximum load of only 175W and idles at a measly 25W. Here are the full specifications, compared with its closest siblings.
