CM Storm Inferno Review
In 2009 CM Storm of Cooler Master debuted their gaming line with their first ever mouse, the Sentinel Advance. The next one to be released was the Inferno, which is the highlight of this feature.
The Inferno is the second mouse from the CM Storm line and is designed strictly with gamers in mind. The main focus of its design is to facilitate a gamer’s natural ability and skill set and to provide that extra edge needed to deal out maximum pain.
The Inferno is a right-handed mouse that has a 4000dpi gaming grade precision laser coupled with 128KB of “Sentinel-X” memory onboard for storing up to three profiles. Each profile contains settings for five dpi sensitivity levels, LED colour settings and the nine programmable buttons on the mouse. The hex button behind the mouse wheel is for switching profiles and the square-looking thumb button is for activating Storm Tactics.

Software
CM Storm has put together yet another robust control centre. The bundled software is very similar to that of the Sentinel Advance. It comprehensive and may even be a little intimidating at first. However, even novice users should be able to manoeuvre through the many options available. They have even subdivided the software in to Casual and Pro Gaming categories. Nice touch!
The main controls allow you to set up your profiles and program your button configurations. You can make use of up to 4 profiles, however, the default CM Storm profile is not fully configurable. Only the DPI settings and sensitivity can be adjusted, the main buttons are pre-programmed.
The software also gives the end user full control of the Storm Tactics feature set. This is where you can further customize your controls to act as if you have over 20 buttons at your disposal. This is a really tactical approach to modern gaming and it can really give you an edge at a moment’s notice.
Conclusion
The CM Storm Inferno brings to the table a nice blend of functionality. It is sleek enough for casual daily usage but it is also tough enough to stand up and deliver when the rigors of online battles require it to.
The Inferno will not disappoint and to that end can be relied on to set any game on fire. It can be had online for $60 and hardcore gamers will fully appreciate what it has to offer, while casual users will feel right at home with such a quality device.
With its menacing look, the Inferno is also sure to show that you mean business when you go to a LAN party. Even if you lose, that doesn’t mean that your hardware should. This product is a real winner no matter what the circumstances are.

The mouse looks real sexy, but is it more comfortable than it looks? How would you rate it on terms of comfort, more than Logitech G5/G7/MX500/MX518 that all used the same shape for many years? Thx in adv..
