Apple announces event for September 10th
The invitations have finally been sent out to the media for the September 10th Apple event. This date was first rumored by AllthingsD a few weeks back and other sources quickly confirmed this, but as of this past Tuesday, it is official.
The event is set to take place at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California, and presentations start at 10:00am. It is expected that Apple will unveil two new iPhone models – the iPhone 5s successor to the current iPhone 5, and a cheaper model called iPhone 5c. As we discussed in our last article on rumored specs, the iPhone 5s should have improved internals and the iPhone 5c is supposed to have iPhone 5 internals but with a plastic casing.
We should also be seeing the final version on iOS 7 before being released to the open public. After the event, we will be covering what was unveiled and give an update on release dates.
