ASUS P8P67 Motherboard Review
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
The events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat unfold shortly after the end of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Having discovered about the open path to the Zone center, the government decides to hold a large-scale military “Fairway” operation aimed to take the CNPP under control.
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (just simply called STALKER) series has made quite an impact on PC gaming with its Action-RPG, FPS hybrid style gameplay. The latest game in the series, Call of Pripyat, has a benchmark which was used to compare system performance.
The see-saw continues to rock as the tables turn once again. The Q9550S prevails in Call of Pripyat and does it with authority. Again, after several rounds of testing, the numbers seem to stand.
Love the EFI bios!
Why such dramatic differences with certain games? Sometimes this new P67 board wins by nearly 100% over the older Core2 Q9550 platform, but the older platform wins by even larger margins in older games?!?
An interesting find, thanks Leon Hyman. It’s baffling and also a bit disappointing.
WTH happened with 2600k in several gaming tests??
I presume it’s not MSI, so what’s happening with Intel chipsets lately?
I meant it’s not ASUS’s fault xD
