Axle’s GeForce GTS 450
We would like to introduce Axle’s GTX 450 which is Nvidia’s new “Sniper” class of video card. It is their midrange GTS 450 video card released this week to directly compete with AMD’s HD 5750. Nvidia has finally released its long awaited GeForce GTS based on its new Fermi DX11 GF106 architecture which we covered in our GTS 450 introduction and review here.
Axle is big in Asia and have recently started expanding their business into North America. They are a certified Nvidia and AMD Graphics partner who has also introduced their own version of a mildly overclocked GTX 450 based on the reference version.
Their press release describes the GTS 450 pretty well:
The unprecedented 3D gaming and home-entertaining experience – AXLE Nvidia GeForce GTS450 graphic card, the aggregation featuring the latest Nvidia 3D Vision and the DirectX11 tessellation delivers you with the eye-popping 3D effect and the next generation cinematic games experience as well as killer performance.
Empowered with Nvidia 3D Vision, Nvidia PhysX, high performance Nvidia GeForce driver, Nvidia CUDA technology, TrueHD and DTS-HD audio bitstreaming support, HDMI 1.4a support, and more, AXLE Nvidia Geforce GTS450 is no doubt the most ideal product for gaming and home-entertaining.
Here are the Axle GTS 450 specifications:
The Axle GTS 450 comes with the driver CD, the installation guide and the installation manual.
We are going to continue our evaluation of GTS 450, focusing especially on overclocking and GTS 450 SLI in a future article. So far we like it as the GTS 450 is a very full-featured midrange video card that is especially suited for high details at the most popular resolutions including 1680×1050 and with anti-aliasing enabled.
