First look at Batman: Arkham Origins
Batman: Arkham Origins, scheduled for release on October 25th , is the next game in the Arkham series. The back story takes place on Christmas eve, five years before the story of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It is the second year of Batman’s career and he is becoming used to being more skilled and faster than his opponents. This all changes when the sadistic Black Mask puts a 50 million dollar bounty on his head. Eight professional assassins set out to kill Batman to collect from the ruthless crime lord.

Currently Deadstroke, Penguin, Deadshot, The Joker, Bane, Copperhead, and The Mad Hatter, are all confirmed characters. An appearance by Gotham’s District attorney Harvey Dent is rumored for game. Speculation suggests the story of his transformation into Two-Face. Batman and Deathstroke are the only confirmed playable characters at the moment. Although more characters are due to be announced as the game gets closer to the launch date.
Batman: Arkham Origins is the first major title from developers WB Games Montreal. They have big shoes to fill since Rocksteady developed Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The story is inspired by the comic book series Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight and the graphic novel Batman: Year One. With new features like an improved Detective Mode and Remote Claw,it looks very promising. The game is due for worldwide release on PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PC.
