Battlefield 4 PC specs similar to Battlefield 3 specs
Electronic Arts and EB games Australia featured a live demo of Battlefield 4 to the media to and a few lucky fans earlier this week. According to a BF4Talk user,
Footage that was shown was the Angry Sea gameplay and the 17 minute demo from earlier this year.
After the footage, David Silverman, the Marketing Director at EA for Battlefield, did a Q&A. Silverman admitted that the Battlefield 3 story could have been more. With Battlefield 4, Dice had more confidence in their skills for multiplayer building, which allowed for more time to be spent on the single player aspect.
Silverman mentioned that Battlelog will be returning, although no word if it will be integrated in-game for PC users. Commander Mode will be available both in-game and on tablets. However, the in-game version will have more features available. Maps can’t be completely leveled to the ground , like in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, but we are to expect destruction to be more dramatic than in Battlefield 3.
Power can even be cut in the indoor sections of maps. Players will then be able to use darkness and the broken elevators to their advantage. Silverman also indirectly confirmed that Operation Metro is the most popular Battlefield 3 map and will be coming to Battlefield 4 in the Second Assault DLC pack.
You won’t be disappointed by the number of maps in the game. New game modes will be shown very soon.
Even though PC specifications have not been listed, Silverman said to expect specifications similar to Battlefield 3 which may be disappointing for high-end PC users. DICE does not have plans to incorporate Oculus Rift integration, however, it is something that could come in the future.
Currently in closed alpha, Battlefield 4 is due to be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 29 in North America. It will be available on next-gen consoles although no official release date is yet set. Hopefully, we will get more news at Gamescom in August.
