CM Storm Sniper: Black Edition Review
Interior
When the case is opened, the all-black interior greets you in all its splendour. This is an upgrade that will please many. Lots of persons mod their cases with spray paint and all other kinds of materials, just to get it to have an all-black interior. It is a very nice idea by Cooler Master to improve on an already winning formula.
Opening the case also reveals the 200mm side fan securely bolted onto the panel with its connecting wires stretching into the fray. The ‘fray’ is shown in the picture above and includes all the wiring you will need to get your system up and running optimally.
The large white sheet on the motherboard tray labels the CPU cooler replacement hole (which can be an enormous time-saver) as well as showing which stand-off holes should be used based on the size of your motherboard. The case supports Micro-ATX and full size ATX motherboards.

The little brown box inside contains the case accessories such as screws, stand-offs, tie straps, additional grommets and alternate rubber feet. It also has the mounting brackets and rails for the, dare I say non-standard, HDD or SSD sizes of 1.8” and 2.5”.
Another excellent case review from you, Leon.
Wow, thanks BFG. I do try.
Nice review, but for the money this one cost, you could get an awesome full tower case.
Cool review. I just bought this case last week and couldn’t be happier. The airflow is just.. amazing. The only thing I don’t get is why they made it black on the inside but don’t offer a windowed version in the US (you have to buy the window from them AFTER you buy the case..).
Thanks. I’m glad you like the review.
As for the windowed side panel, keep in mind that from the outset it was supposed to only be available in selected markets. Also, the mesh version is what you would call the ‘default’.
Not sure about their reasoning but that is how they decided to market it.
