CryEngine 3 Extended Demo Video

Earlier we wrote about Crytek having registered new logos. We didn’t know back then what these were for. Then days later we published that these were for Crytek’s upcoming CryEngine 3. Now we finally bring you a video of this engine in action shown at GDC 2009. Ignore the player models from Crysis running around, this doesn’t mean that a new Crysis is on the way. Crytek just reused old assets to show off the demo. If you think it looks a lot like CryEngine 2 running Crysis and Crysis Warhead, you are not wrong. According to Crytek, they have optimised CryEngine 2 very well to run on consoles. So the quality remains the same, but games like Crysis can now run on consoles.
