EA Now Offering De-Authorization
Electronic Arts (EA) is now offering a method to de-authorize your games. In other words…free up an activation. This comes in the form of De-Authorization Tools. When you purchase and install an EA game, you go through the activation process, of which there is a limited amount. If you so desire (for whatever reason), you can now “de-activate” it.
The tools work for a number of recent games including Crysis Warhead, Mass Effect, Need For Speed Undercover, Mirror’s Edge and Spore. The full listing is at the very least a good start for EA and we expect this trend to continue with future titles.
