ECS to start shipping P67 motherboards with the B3 Stepping
ECS has confirmed to AlienBabelTech that they are just about ready to start shipping P67 motherboards again, this time with the new B3 Stepping of the chipset from Intel.
All of their new P67-based motherboards will keep the same hardware specifications and functionality. To avoid any confusion in consumer channels, ECS has updated their packaging with a new B3 Stepping logo/sticker, which will be on all retail boxes. The motherboards themselves will also have clear B3 labels.
In addition, some of the BIOS issues related to these boards will also be addressed via updated BIOS versions. Owners of the current B2 Stepping boards should be able to flash to the latest versions.
