Fable II Coming to PC .. soon ?
There has been much speculation ever since Fable II was released as Xbox 360’s exclusive fantasy RPG, that it will be coming to the PC platform as soon as February 2009. One of the most recent rumors says it is “imminent”. It certainly isn’t a stretch to imagine since the original Fable debuted on Xbox console and was then released along with new content, The Lost Chapters, about a year later for the PC. Fable II has gotten good reviews since its release and racked up impressive sales figures with 1.5 million copies sold worldwide during just its first two weeks.
However, last week, Fable II’s developer Lionhead Studios officially addressed this rumor on their forums via Lionhead employee “Woody”:
We’re not working on a PC version of Fable II,
If this changes we’ll make sure you know about it,” 😕
Is this really a denial? We note the emoticon and also note that the message posted does not preclude that Lionhead studios could be already finished with it or – more likely – it might be farmed out to another studio for porting to the PC. Just Lionhead’s commenting on it leads the suspicious to suspect a “surprise” is in store for PC gamers. Fable, Lost Chapters was one of my favorite RPGs, despite its flaws. I promise to keep you updated if we get more information as I am exclusively a PC gamer.

I am exclusively a PC Gamer also. Fable: Lost Chapters was/is a great game. I remember having a GeForce 4 MX4000 video card at the time it came out for PC. My card wasn’t supported (too old/slow).
That game made me upgrade…to a GeForce 6600GT (AGP version). Then I enjoyed myself immensely with that game (and others).
Bottom Line: I hope Fable 2 hits the PC. Looking forward to it!!
