ABT evaluates Galaxy’s GTX 780 V2
Features and Specifications
The Galaxy GTX 780 V2 uses the same PCB as the reference version. The only real differences are in the cooling and the color.
The base core clock for the reference GTX 780 V1 or V2 is 863MHz and the Boost is a guaranteed minimum 900MHz. The original GTX 780 that we received from Nvidia and the Galaxy GTX 780 V2 both boost higher, generally to 966MHz with some differences as we shall detail in the overclocking section.

Display Outputs
A total of 4 displays may be driven simultaneously from the Galaxy GTX 780 V2. The reference and the V2 use two Dual Link DVI connectors, DisplayPort 1.2, and a HDMI connector.
SLI
The GTX 780 is set up for SLI and Tri-SLI. We paired up our reference GTX 780 with the V2 and witnessed some excellent scaling over using a single GPU as you will see in the performance section.
Super-Widescreen 5760 x1080, Surround, 3D Vision Surround, and PhysX
The Galaxy GTX 780 V2 is set up for spanning 3 displays in Surround plus an extra display, and it can also handle 3D Vision with a 3D Vision ready display and Nvidia’s active 3D glasses. However, for 3D Vision and for Surround, many games need to have their settings reduced drastically as the GTX 780 is primarily designed for 1920×1080 and 2560×1600. GTX 780 SLI is recommended as you are playing across three screens for Surround and/or you are rendering each scene twice for 3D Vision.
