Galaxy’s GTX 760 GC Mini – overclocking in a small package
Features
The Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini is physically much smaller than the reference version. It can fit into some lower profile and slim PC cases for HTPC much better than the reference version can. The best way to visualize its size is to compare both the Mini and the reference version together in SLI in a case.
The PCB itself is the same size, however, everything has been downsized on the Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini to make the card much shorter and narrower. The custom cooling has two small fans which are open-design and very effective, yet quiet.
Let’s compare the Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini with the GTX 760 reference version and pay particular attention to the Base clocks.
Reference GTX 760 Specifications
The base core clock for the reference version is 980MHz and the Galaxy GTX 760 Mini’s GC (Galaxy Clocked) are 39MHz higher at 1019MHz. When we used the reference version with the GC Mini in SLI, we adjusted the Mini’s clocks downward 39MHz, but noticed that it’s boost was 32MHz higher than the reference version’s Boost.
Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini Specifications
Here are Galaxy’s specifications for the GTX 760 GC Mini – note the Base and Boost clocks (MHz) have been increased although Galaxy left the memory clocks unchanged. It will be interesting to see how much further our own sample overclocks and what its Boost will reach.

1. 4096×2160 resolution supported through a single HDMI connector. 4096×2160 resolution is not supported with two DVI connectors.
There is 150W total available to the GPU from the PCIe connectors in addition to the 75W that may be drawn through the PCIe slot although the maximum graphics power is capped at 170W. A good 600W PSU should be plenty for this card with overclocking room to spare for most systems.

Display Outputs
A connector for a total of 3 displays that may be driven simultaneously from the Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini (right). The reference and the Mini GTX 760 use two Dual Link DVI connectors, DisplayPort and a HDMI connector.
SLI
The GTX 760 is set up for SLI and Tri-SLI. We paired up two GTX 760s for our last evaluation and witnessed some excellent scaling over using a single GPU.
Super-Widescreen 5760 x1080, Surround, 3D Vision Surround, and PhysX
The Galaxy GTX 760 GC Mini is set up for spanning 3 displays in Surround plus an extra display, and it can also handle 3D Vision with a 3D Vision ready display and Nvidia’s active 3D glasses. However, for 3D Vision and for Surround, many games need to have their settings reduced drastically as the GTX 760 is primarily designed for 1920×1080. Just remember that you are playing across three screens for Surround and/or you are rendering each scene twice for 3D Vision!!
