GTA Online bugs cause singleplayer to be unplayable

GTA Online has been released this week, but right from the start, players ran into game-stopping bugs. In addition to Rockstar’s server problems which made it impossible for people to play GTA Online, recent reports indicate that the online component of Grand Theft Auto V can actually break the singleplayer.

For example, players report being unable to switch between characters or can’t start any new missions, effectively rendering the game unplayable. It is still unknown what is causing the most recent bugs, and Rockstar is said to be vigorously investigating the problems. Chances are that bug-fixes for the singleplayer component are causing the latest bugs to appear, but hopefully Rockstar will be able to squash all game-breaking bugs soon.
