Hagiwara announces 1-inch SSDs

Hagiwara Sys-Com recently announced  1-inch SSD, resulting in the HDF10P that is available in up to 8GB capacities, with a 16GB version coming later this year. The company uses its in-house built TrueSSD controller. While the formfactor may be something which will turn some heads, other specs won’t. The drive uses a PATA interface also known as IDE. The sustained Read and Write speeds are 39MB/s and 25MB/s.

Hagiwara says the new 1-inch SSD is suitable for a boot device thanks to its high write-cycle endurance factor, but has not yet released pricing or release information for the drive.
