HD4830 with no 6-pin connector pictured
Triplex, a relatively unknown manufacturer, is currently designing an ATI Radeon HD4830 card that does not have a 6-pin power connector but draws its power entirely from the PCI-Express Slot. The card was pictured on XtremeSystems Forums.
From the above pics, we can make out that the card features a 2+1 phase power design. Specs of the card are 512MB GDDR3 memory on a 256-bit interface, DVI-D, HDMI and D-Sub outputs. The card lacks crossfire connectors. It is based on the RV770 GPU featuring 640 Shaders, DX10.1 complaince, with AMD/ATI reference clock speeds of 575/900 MHz (core/memory).
