High Performance Gaming on a Budget: Building a Value PC with Cooler Master’s Silent Pro 600 M
Inside the Silent Pro 600 M – the components
It is relatively easy to disassemble the Silent Power PSU. Just a screwdriver will get it completely apart and void your 5-year warranty with Cooler Master. We voided ours so you won’t have to wonder what is inside. As you can see, the panel is just glued on and you can pry it off to get to the screws that hold on the heatsinks.
Let’s look closely at the 135 MM fan used to cool this PSU. It is by Young Lin.
Here is the copper that you can see in the next two shots that transfers heat so well and helps to cool the Silent Pro 600 M. In the first shot, you can see the two Japanese capacitors that are advertised on the box. Two will help insure the power supply remains stable under heavy load.
Here you can see the second copper layer that helps transfer heat efficiently and also that the wiring gauge is well suited for this unit.
Cooler Master has built a solid power supply unit that you can depend on from what we can see and from what we have tested. Lets wrap it up.
