Intel Core i7-990X Six-Core CPU has a silent release
Intel has silently released their new extreme edition CPU, the Core i7-990X. It is a six-core processor that has a stock clock of 3.46GHz as compared to the previous top-dollar CPU, the Core i7-980X at 3.33GHz.
The 990X is based on the 32nm manufacturing process and features an unlocked multiplier and 12MB of L3 Cache. The Turbo Boost frequency on the 990X is 3.73GHz.
The Core i7-990X is fully set to replace the Corei7-980X. Stay tuned for more as it develops.
