Introducing Galaxy’s GTS 450 SuperOverclock
BattleForge
BattleForge is an online PC game developed by EA Phenomic and published by Electronic Arts. The full game and a demo was released in March 2009. BattleForge is a card based RTS that revolves around acquiring and winning by means of micro-transactions for buying new cards. By May, 2009, BattleForge became a Play 4 Free game with fewer cards than the retail version. BattleForge supports Directx 11 with full support for hardware tesselation. It is very impressive visually and quite demanding on any system.
First we test with our three top cards at 1440×900 using the BattleForge built-in benchmark with its settings as follows and no AA. Of course, the 8800 GTX is again restricted to the DX10 pathway with far less impressive visuals.
- Shadows – medium
- Texture – high
- Shaders – high
- SSAO – Off
- FX quality – very high
- MT – auto
- Cloud shadows – on
- Glow – on
The GTS 450 SOC and the HD 5750 are neck and neck. The 8800 GTX cannot run on the DX11 pathway and there is no tessellation, yet it brings up the read. Let’s up the resolution and also try GTS 450 SLI.
Again, the GTS 450 SLI clearly leads the pack with superb scaling over a single GPU. The HD 5750 edges the overclocked GTS 450 and 8800GTX is a distant last on the DX10 pathway. Now on to 1920×1000 resolution:
The GTX 480 is fastest in BattleForge followed by the HD 5870 and not too far behind the Radeon is our budget pair of GTS 450s.
It’s a phenomenal review!! I loved how you compared it with a 5750 and my old 8800GTX, plus how you did 450’s in SLI versus 5870 and GTX 480. And the fully-rounded arsenal of games is icing on the cake!
Awesome review, very cool that you added 8800GTX. I was considering swapping mine out for the 450 originally.

However, either PSU is probably sufficient if they are of reasonable quality and not defective. The card’s fan speed is variable, depending on the temperatures. Use Galaxy’s Xtreme HD Tuner or EVGA precision tool to monitor temperatures.
Happy to find out until this website successful in my iPhone , anything I would like to perform is actually functional. Thanks for keeping up to date with the most up-to-date.
