Introducing Galaxy’s GTS 450 SuperOverclock
X3: Terran Conflict
X3:Terran Conflict (X3:TC) is another beautiful stand-alone benchmark that runs multiple tests and will really strain a lot of video cards. X3:TC is a space trading and combat simulator from Egosoft and is the most recent of their X-series of computer games. X3:TC is a standalone expansion of X3: Reunion, based in the same universe and on the same engine. It complements the story of previous games in the X-Universe and especially continues the events after the end of X3: Reunion.
Compared to Reunion, Terran Conflict features a larger universe, more ships, and of course, new missions. The X-Universe is huge. The Terran faction was added with their own set of technology including powerful ships and stations. Many new weapons systems were developed for the expansion and it has generally received good reviews. It has a rather steep learning curve.
First we note the results at 1920×1200:
We see a really tight grouping at lower resolution indicating the game is rather CPU-bound yet the GTS 450 is well ahead of the HD 5750 and the 8800 GTX. Now at 1680×1050:
We see the GTS again beating the HD 5750 but this time SLI scaling is not so good, only gaining 13 FPS over a single GPU. How will GTS 450 SLI do when we max out the AA and crank up the resolution even more?
The GTX 480 runs this benchmark the fastest with the HD 5870 close behind. However, SLI’d GTS 450s perform well and all of our three configurations experience similar playable averages and low minimum framerates.
It’s a phenomenal review!! I loved how you compared it with a 5750 and my old 8800GTX, plus how you did 450’s in SLI versus 5870 and GTX 480. And the fully-rounded arsenal of games is icing on the cake!
Awesome review, very cool that you added 8800GTX. I was considering swapping mine out for the 450 originally.

However, either PSU is probably sufficient if they are of reasonable quality and not defective. The card’s fan speed is variable, depending on the temperatures. Use Galaxy’s Xtreme HD Tuner or EVGA precision tool to monitor temperatures.
Happy to find out until this website successful in my iPhone , anything I would like to perform is actually functional. Thanks for keeping up to date with the most up-to-date.
