Introducing Galaxy’s GTS 450 SuperOverclock
DiRT 2
Colin McRae: DiRT 2 is a racing game that was released in September 2009, and is the sequel to Colin McRae: Dirt. It includes many new race-events, including stadium events as your RV travels from one event to another in many real-world environments across four continents. DiRT 2 includes five different event types even allowing you to compete at new locations. It also includes a new multiplayer mode. DiRT 2 is powered by an updated version of the EGO engine which was featured in Race Driver: GRID. The updated EGO engine also features an updated physics engine.
First we test our cards at 1440×900 with 2xAA and completely maxed out settings. The 8800 GTX is running on DX9 pathway while the other newer cards provide better visuals on the DX11 pathway – they cannot be compared to each other although they are included on the same chart for completeness:
The GTX 450 SOC pulls ahead in a not so tight race with the HD 5750 eating dust although the playability remains similar. AA extracts a pretty hefty penalty in this game from the GTS although the game is perfectly playable with 4xAA and maxed-out details. What about 1680×1050?
Again the Galaxy GTS 450 SOC gets the checkered flag and the stock GTS 450 beats HD 5750. Ignore the 8800 GTX results as they are not DX11 and it is left looking flat regarding tessellation.
The GTX 480 wins. However, GTS 450s in SLI are solidly faster than a single HD 5870 again.
It’s a phenomenal review!! I loved how you compared it with a 5750 and my old 8800GTX, plus how you did 450’s in SLI versus 5870 and GTX 480. And the fully-rounded arsenal of games is icing on the cake!
Awesome review, very cool that you added 8800GTX. I was considering swapping mine out for the 450 originally.

However, either PSU is probably sufficient if they are of reasonable quality and not defective. The card’s fan speed is variable, depending on the temperatures. Use Galaxy’s Xtreme HD Tuner or EVGA precision tool to monitor temperatures.
Happy to find out until this website successful in my iPhone , anything I would like to perform is actually functional. Thanks for keeping up to date with the most up-to-date.
