Borderlands is a science fiction first-person shooter with RPG elements that was developed by Gearbox Software for Windows in 2009.

Borderlands is a brand new benchmark for us and it proves to be quite demanding at fully maxed out in-game settings even without AA. We use the benchmark that is built into the game and note that it is a very demanding map. We test at 1920×1200, 2560×1600 and 5760×1080 with fully maxed-out in-game settings.

Again, although the Core i7-920 is faster than even the overclocked Phenom II X4 980 BE, there is not much practical difference in actually playing the game on either platform.
