LG G2 Coming To The Big 4
LG took the wraps off their new Android flagship device this past Wednesday at their global press event in New York City. The new LG G2 device is equipped with the following:
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26Ghz
– 5.2inch display at 1920×1080-pixel resolution at 423ppi
– 2GB of Ram
– 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization
– 2.1-megapixel front facing camera
– 16GB & 32GB storage
– 3,000mAh battery
– Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
One unique design that LG has never done in the past with other devices is that they have moved the volume and camera controls to the back-side of the phone. We expect a new learning curve with this new design.
The G2 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is kind of disappointing due to the fact that 4.3 Jelly Bean is already on some other devices. Our guess is that the G2 will get the new Jelly Bean update sometime in the near future.
LG said the phone will hit 130 carriers over the next eight weeks in South Korea and Europe. It will be followed by another launch here in North America on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-mobile. LG did not announce pricing information nor release dates yet, but we will keep you updated when this information is available.
The Huffingtonpost in the U.K was able to get some very positive impressions from the other Tech press at the event.
So what are your thoughts on the new LG G2?
