Once we had a look at that we then checked out some 1GB models. Unlike most cards, the 1GB model wasn’t just more memory, but it increased the memory bus width while adding some more ROPs at the same time.
The problem we had was that the GIGABYTE card we looked at wasn’t overclocked as much as the 768MB Cyclone from MSI. The Galaxy and Palit cards we then looked at afterwards instead had clocks so much higher. Until today we didn’t have a chance to really see what the difference between the 768MB version and the 1GB version was on a more even keel."
