Purchasing this bundle is a real no-brainer. When you buy any of the FreeAgent drives, you get the standard Reveal 8 software package preloaded on the drive. “Standard” meaning that it has all the same features as the full version, except for High Definition (HD) support.
To get the full version with HD support, you would have to buy it from muvee for US $79.95. The lack of HD is not, and I repeat, not a deal-breaker. Full HD support is just one of the 10 major features that Reveal 8 brings to the table. That aside, let us take a look at the other nine.
Firstly, it is extremely easy to transfer or import your raw media to the software, regardless of format.
Secondly, Reveal 8 allows you to tell your own story. You can add music tracks to fit your video, insert logos, captions and credits. You can even add your own voiceover. Personalization is the key concept here.
Trimming music is another cool thing here. You can use just the part of the song you want and you just place it exactly where you want it.
The editing tools offer complete control over your project. Automatic brightness control, colour correction and red eye reduction top the list here. You may also zoom in on specific details and rotate images and change their sequence.
There are 10 project styles that are included by default and can be used right away. Each style has unique effects, animations and transitions that can be applied automatically with just one click. These can then be modified to your liking.
While working on your project, you can have a look at a preview at any time in full screen and full quality. Editing has never been simpler and you know exactly how your video will look when you save it.
Saving your video is also very easy. The software has a lot of supported formats and from project to finished product is just a few clicks. To speed up this process, muvee has included NVIDIA CUDA Acceleration. It is said that movies save and/or render up to 8x faster with CUDA. If your system is equipped with a Nvidia CUDA-enabled graphics card, then you can take full advantage of this feature.
After saving, you can instantly share your movies with your favourite social networks. Uploading to Facebook and YouTube can be achieved without a hassle. You can also burn DVDs or export your movies directly to your MP4 player, mobile phone or just about any gadget that will play your video file.
A new way of privately sharing movies is via shwup. You can upload your videos directly and then send invites to your friends and family to view them. They can then contribute photos or just leave a comment.
So many features and so much functionality are all for free with your new Seagate FreeAgent drive. I smell a winner.
