Nintendo announced on their twitter page that the game has been in development for the past few months.
Mashiro Sakurai and his studio Sora will be part of the title’s development. Sakurai worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl and has been reportedly working on the new title in the franchise for the last few months.
They have also announced a 3ds XL. The system will come with a new 4.88′ screen, the normal Nintendo 3DS is 3.53′. The bottom screen of course is bigger too at 4.18′ instead of 3.02′ screen of before. The top screen now comes with a 90% bigger viewing area.
United States pricing is $199.99, it will be released on August 19th, same date as New Super Mario Bros 2.
The 3DS XL will come in three colors (White, Red + Black, Silver + Black) and be out in Japan on July 28 for ¥18,900. The 3DS XL will be out in Europe on July 28.North America will get Black, Black + Blue, and Black + Red colors.
