nVidia 186.18 Driver Test
Introduction
Today I’ll be testing nVidia’s latest official driver (version 186.18), and I’ll compare it to my previously installed driver (version 185.85).
My CRT recently died and while I’m deciding on a replacement LCD, I’m using a temporary LCD whose maximum resolution is 1680×1050. As a consequence, all benchmarks today will be restricted to titles that are still demanding at said resolution. All titles will also be run with 4xAA.
TrAA will also be used where possible and playable with SS denoting super-sampling, and MS denoting multi-sampling.
As usual, the text charts are color coded and green means 185.85 is faster, while yellow means 186.18 is faster.
