Nvidia cancels Nvision 09
Nvidia has decided to cancel Nvision 09. Nvision is a stand alone event organized by Nvidia aimed at promoting visual computing amongst enthusiasts and journalists. First Nvision was held last year in 08, in San Jose, California.
Nvision 09 was to be held in third quarter, but was cancelled to to decrease in number of prospective visitors due to the economic downturn. Nvidia added that it will host several smaller events in fall.
UPDATE: According to a latest story published on ARSTechnica NVIDIA’s Derek Perez told Ars when asked him about this report that NVISION ’09 has been canceled. “Details will be announced soon on this developer event, as well as the next NVISION.” So NVISION could be replaced by a smaller version of it, or may be cancelled altogether. Nothing is conclusive right now.
