Nvidia does the crazies, shows off Optimus
Something that even the most hardcore enthusiasts wouldn’t do is take off hardware components out of a running system much less put them back into the same running system. Well, Nvidia has gone ahead and hired some brave engineers to do that and show off it’s Optimus technology. For those of you who don’t know what this tech does, it allows the system to shut down the discrete GPU when it’s not in use and turn it back on when needed. This saves battery, a prime concern with laptop users. Watch the demo below. More about the demo here http://blogs.nvidia.com/ntersect/2010/03/optimus-engineering-coolness-for-geforce-and-ion.html
Howdy! Considering that I have put in a little bit of time in the past hour reading through your articles, I thought I would shoot a short note in your guestbook to say hello there. I am seriously liking just what you have got going on here with your website and I really do hope you keep writing it. That’s just about all from myself, hope you have a great week and enjoy the summer!
