Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 – First Pics!
The first pictures of what is alleged to be the new and upcoming Nvidia flagship card, the GeForce GTX 580, were sighted today. We have these pictures here to show you courtesy of PCinlife.
According to the website, the new card looks a lot like the one it is replacing, the GTX 480 and has more or less the same cooling design. The GTX 580 gives its user dual-DVI ports and a mini HDMI output as well. The card will require a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector to power it.
This GF110-based card is set to directly compete with AMD’s 6900 Series offering powered by their new VLIW4 architecture. Interesting times are ahead!
Since Nvidia never comments on unreleased products, we are unable to tell you what the specs on this card is – or if it is even real. However, be sure to check back here often to be among the first to find out. You can discuss this in our forum while you impatiently await the numbers.
