ABT Builder’s Guide: September-October 2008
CASES
The case you choose is a personal issue. It can reflect your flashy deportment or lack thereof. It is all about you.
When choosing a case:
• Make sure it has enough room for your components inside.
• Make sure it has good airflow.
• Make sure it has an exterior look that pleases you.
Some cases have a removable motherboard tray. This allows you to work outside your case, reducing the likelihood of cuts and scrapes.
Also look for cases that will allow you to do your own customizations if you like, such as lighting, paint jobs, etc.
Having said all that, I’m sure you can see that there really is no real best or worst in this category. It is all about personal preference. All I can do here is to recommend an all-round solid purchase from each price category. I hope they will give you good insight on what to look for when buying a case.

Good Deal – Antec Sonata III 500. This is an ATX Mid Tower case that comes with the Antec EA500 earthwatts PSU.
Some of the cases I have listed have alternate designs that you might find to your liking, so keep that in mind. The only other case that could be added would be . . . well . . . whatever YOU like. Have fun choosing your case.
