Sprint Hero gets Android 2.0.1 hacked onto it
HTC Hero users have been waiting patiently (some very impatiently) for a newer Android version to come to their handsets currently running on Android 1.5. Now that HTC and Sprint have announced plans to bring Android 2.1 sometime during the first half of 2010, those users have been seen posting very happily around the forums on the interwebs.
If you are one such user and cannot wait for HTC to release something new, you can thank Dusty Chadwick for porting Android 2.0.1 to Sprint’s Hero version for the time-being. He also added the new Nexus One boot animation for fun. There are still some things that are not working. These include:

– Trackball light
– Trackball click (Rolling and moving are fine)
