Zotac GTX260 Souped-up Edition Spotted
Ever since Nvidia allowed its partners to come up with non-reference designs on the GTX 200 series cards, we have seen some interesting designs from many manufacturers. Latest to party is Zotac, with its non-ref GTX260 Souped-up Edition. Zotac uses a custom 10 Layer PCB, and uses a sports 6+3 phase power supply design which improves power supply efficiency to 80%. In addition it uses MLCC capacitances which help reduce the temperature. Zotac uses Samsung K4J523240H-HJ1A memory chips which are 1.0ns. It comes with standard GTX 260 features such as 896 MB framebuffer (video memory) on a 448-bit wide memory interface with core/memory clock of 576/2000MHz. Cooling the PCB is Accelero Xtreme GTX cooler with five copper heatpipes and three 90mm fans.
