ABT Builds a GTX 780 SLI Battlebox for 4K
Conclusion
Nvidia has reported that by using dual GTX 780 and a fast CPU, Batman: Arkham origins can be played with all details completely maxed with fps generally remaining in the 40s at 4K. The game will absolutely fly at 2560×1600 and even 5760×1080, or with 3D Vision 2 on a 120Hz 1920×1080 display. However, playing in 3D Vision Surround – which is double the work of 2D at 5760×1080 – may require a third GTX 780 in Tri-SLI for absolutely fluid play.
We are totally impressed with our ABT GTX 780 SLI “Battlebox” and recommend the experience to anyone who wants to play at 4K or SuperSampled 2560×1600 resolution, with 3D Vision 2, or Surround. It is amazing to play incredibly detailed games without shimmering or aliasing where the framerate remains fluid.
Batman: Arkham Origins 7-Key giveaway
Are you also a Batman-fan? Starting tomorrow, we will kick off ABT’s Batman Origins Contest, and each day for a week, beginning on Wednesday, we will give away one of seven Steam-keys for the yet-unreleased, Batman: Arkham Origins. You can enter to win one key up to 7 times, and these keys have been provided to us by Nvidia to promote their Battlebox program. Origins is a game that Nvidia has been focusing on in particular.
Besides working with Warner Bros to optimize for Batman: Arkham Origins, Nvidia has also been working closely with game developers like Ubisoft, who will soon be releasing Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and Watchdogs. These games are optimized to run on Nvidia hardware and they are promising “console-destroying” graphics and performance. Nvidia is targeting the weakness of both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 that are only equipped with midrange AMD hardware.
If you want a chance to play Batman: Arkham Origins for free when it releases on October 26, all you have to do is enter our contest, the announcement of which will kick off tomorrow, on October 7.
Stay tuned for the details and don’t forget to check ABT forum where our members generally discuss everything important that is video and tech-related first.
